Have you ever been in a meeting or conference, lecture, class or panel – and thought, I really love this content and want to remember it, to make sense of this information in a way that is meaningful – to capture the themes and big ideas you’re hearing, in real time?

This workshop is right for you if you’re a:

  • Facilitator/Communicator
  • Founder
  • Product Manager
  • Innovator
  • Marketer
  • Storyteller
  • Designer
  • Or anyone interested in transmitting content and crafting narrative, and understanding information

Using hands-on sketchnoting techniques, Julia will show you how to activate your brain by using your listening, thinking and drawing skills to make meaning. No prior drawing skill necessary! Lunch and supplies will be provided.

Jobs to Be Done (JTBD)

Making new products is perilous, regardless of whether you are an intrapreneur tasked with creating new products and new growth or if you are an entrepreneur with your money, experience, and reputation on the line. Where do you start so you can minimize your exposure to risk without limiting the exponential opportunities that come with launching a successful innovation?

Demand Design is a new product development method built on theory of Jobs to be Done. This method enables a business team to work together with customers to co-design customer experiences. These experiences, in turn, can serve as a dependable starting point for product development, business model design, and marketing efforts. It will allow you to build demand for your product as you build the product itself.

In this interactive session, you will learn how to design demand. You will learn how to develop experience storyboards, how to conduct interviews using the storyboard, and how to combine findings into insight you can use to develop new products that will succeed in the market.

Going Beyond the Voice of the Consumer

Getting the voice of the consumer would be great if consumers could only tell you what it is that they want or need. Understanding their unarticulated needs is what leads to launching innovative new products and services. In this experiential session, we will share with you field-tested techniques that can help you take the understanding of your consumer to new levels.
